The Blood Products Suppliers Forum was established in 2004 to provide current and potential suppliers of blood and blood products with an opportunity to provide input into the NBA processes, especially around procurement. The outcomes of forum meetings have led to improvements in our procurement processes. The Forum provides an environment that facilitates discussions on common supply matters and the provision of information to both the NBA and suppliers of blood and blood products – such as government policies, procurement and industry changes. With few suppliers actually operating in the Australian market, the information disseminated through the Suppliers Forum helps to encourage interest in the Australian market and improve competition.
