5.4 Asset management
Physical assets are a minor part of the National Blood Authority's strategic management. An asset replacement strategy has been developed to ensure that the National Blood Authority has adequate funds for the replacement of assets as these come to the end of their useful lives. A full refresh of information communication technology infrastructure was carried out in 2006–07 following the completion of a review into the strategic IT needs of the National Blood Authority.
