Blood Sector Risk Management

Under the National Blood Authority Act 2003 and the National Blood Agreement, the NBA has responsibility for:

• Carrying out national blood arrangements relating to contingency and risk mitigation measures to assist in ensuring a sufficient supply of blood and blood products to all States and Territories; and
• The establishment and management of risk mitigation and contingency measures in relation to the national blood supply.
